Q:Did you know that if your vehicle fails the emission test and you have repairs exceeding $150 completed and still fail, you can apply for a waiver?
A: Yes, this is true. It is the goal that all vehicles pass the VEIP inspection, but it is realized that not all vehicles will.

Q: What they were looking for when they pop the hood prior to the test?
A: The are checking for tampering that would skew the results of the test.
