Lake Frank, a sister lake to Lake Needwood, is a full
54 acres in surface area. This Lake, located within Derwood's
boundaries serves area environmental education and nature
study
efforts. Lake Frank is 24 feet at its deepest on its
southwestern edge and provides bank fishing, hiking and
biking trails to visitors. No swimming or boating is permitted. The park is open sunset to sundown. The lake can be
reached approximately 1/4 mile from the parking area
located just off Avery Road.
