Tucked away on 410 acres of Derwood's northwest corner, this park includes a farmhouse, barn and activity center. Designed to reveal the past, present and future of agriculture in Montgomery County, 80 acres of this land is set aside as a historic area. The Park accomplishes this by with seasonal festivals that provide agricultural education, history and services while depicting life on a farm in one of the country’s pioneering agricultural counties. In the future the park hopes to expand its educational impact by including a museum with exhibits, farm machinery and implements displayed in the barn and the farmhouse to showcase furnishing and a typical depiction of a Montgomery County farmer's life. Annual Special Events include the Spring Festival the 3rd Saturday in May and the Harvest Festival the 1st Saturday in October. Back to top
